Quick Catch-Up

I'm a little late starting this blog but have decided to dive into the blogging world so our friends and family can keep up with our little one. Jacob was born on January 16, 2009. Jacob let us know he had a strong personality from the very beginning. He came out upside down and causing quite a stir in the delivery room due to his fluctuating heart rate. He scored a 'perfect 10' on his apgar score and his Nonna (Grandma Close) has been talking about it ever since.

Just a few minutes old

Just a few days old!

Jacob likes to be out and about, just like his mom. He has been to file taxes and open a bank account where he took out his first loan from mom and dad. He has also been to almost every mall in St. Louis (courtesy of Mom's shopping habit). He enjoys spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Beffa, Nonna, all his aunts and uncles, cousins and friends too!! He has even spent the night at Nonna's house a few times when mom and dad need to catch up on some sleep. Dad's first trip by himself with Jacob was to guys night - at Buffalo Wild Wings. He went to the Dog Prairie Tavern for a fish fry and sat directly in front of the jukebox and slept through the whole thing!

Jacob is growing up quickly. He can hold his head up very well and smiles a lot. He had his 8 week visit to the doctor on March 17th. He is in the 90th percentile for height and 50 percentile for weight. He also got 4 shots and had an allergic reaction to the Pertussis which made for a very long day! He woke up the next day feeling perfectly fine though!! Jacob is mover and a shaker - constantly moving his arms and legs and stretching out his little body. We titled the blog jumping Jacob for obvious reasons - he even moves and talks the entire time he sleeps.. which makes it hard to tell when he's really awake in the morning.

Here are a few of our favorite shots of his life so far.. 9 weeks in the making!
